Nationwide Tax Database Now Available on the Web From First American Real Estate Tax Service |
DALLAS, TX -- (December 6, 2001) -- First American Real Estate Tax Service, a member of The First American Corporation (NYSE: FAF) family of companies, announced today that First American's Property Locator Service (PLS) Database now allows Internet access to more than 22,000 taxing authorities for detailed tax data nationwide.
First American's PLS Database, which encompasses information about more than 115 million parcels, is the first nationwide real estate tax database in the industry. Integrating the PLS Tax link with FASTWeb, First American's Web-based order entry, routing and delivery system, allows loan originators to access and gather tax information electronically, at their convenience by offering easy-to-define search capabilities and instant order routing throughout First American's family of companies.
Mortgage loan originators, mortgage servicers and other real estate professionals now have immediate access to the detailed tax information needed to estimate, close, service and identify tax amounts on mortgage loans. Information including tax identification numbers, property addresses, agency information, due dates, legal descriptions and more are all accessed through the PLS Internet connection.
